[He only smiles at that, and after a moment he leans back in his seat. It's purposeful, without being avoidant.]

[He drains his drink and sets the glass down, adjusts his jacket as he stands. He sets a hand briefly on Meyer's shoulder, a gesture which might be innocent but somehow, decidedly, isn't. Perhaps it's only conversation that makes it thus. Perhaps he lingers a moment too long.]

Should you find yourself wanting for anything, my office is down that hall.

[Any plainer invitation would only be a cheap bid to make Meyer blush.]

[He's fairly close to blushing, anyway, but in the time that he's been here, he's learned, slowly, to find less and less embarrassing. You have to, in a place like this. That's why he's able to keep any sign of embarrassment off his face, although it's a concerted effort.]

I wouldn't mind seeing your office. I imagine it puts the office at the casino to shame.

[Because his office really is terrible, and he has the feeling that Isaak likes nice things. And because it's as good an excuse as any, isn't it, to pretend that he's only interested in the business aspects of Isaak.]

[Don't get too hard to fluster, Isaak rather likes it.]

I do like to be comfortable. [He nods obligingly, waves the younger man onward toward the door. This is not wholly unexpected, though perhaps a bit more eager than he'd have guessed.]

[It's easy to avoid being flustered when all that's happening is flirtation and suggestion. Don't worry, Isaak, there's still plenty of potential in this one to start blushing furiously. He's perfectly happy to head in the direction Isaak is waving him towards, tiny, almost imperceptible smile on his face.]

I haven't had the time to make my office at all comfortable, which is unfortunate, since I spend more nights there than I should.

[Sooner or later a flushed face is inevitable, Meyer.

Isaak shows him into the office-- well-appointed, comfortably luxurious but not ostentatious, it is perhaps exactly what one would expect, knowing Isaak at all. He shuts the door behind them softly, and moves to lean on the edge of his desk.]

Now that is a bad habit to form. All work and no play, as they say.

[Though the small couch he has looks (and would be) more than comfortable enough to sleep on.]

My employees are inclined to agree. They keep trying to get me to 'live a little.'

[Can he really help it that he's exceptionally fond of money, and that, as far as he's concerned, running the casino is his own type of fun, difficult as it is? His eyes are still on Isaak, watching him curiously, although not staring, never staring.]

To that end, they've been known to arrange things like my incredibly ridiculous birthday party. Their choice of entertainment was, of course, predicated on the assumption that I'm incapable of enjoying myself.

And what was their choice?

[Isaak can be, when the mood strikes him, infinitely, excruciatingly patient.]

A truly absurd amount of strippers. I'd say you would have found it amusing, but I doubt any of them would have been to your taste.

I might yet have found it amusing. [Even as hearsay he does.]. Were they to your tastes?

Several of them. I'm not completely incapable of appreciating an aesthetically pleasing individual.

[He raises an eyebrow slightly, gazing at Isaak, definitely finding him aesthetically pleasing.]

The amount of glitter I had to clean up, however, was less alluring.

[He doesn't react, but he does notice.]

It's a professional hazard.

Your venue doesn't seem nearly so inclined towards glitter.

[And his wouldn't be, if his employees weren't so... well... determined.]

I owned a chain of gentlemen's clubs at home.

[He settles his weight on the desk, one knee bent against the side, his palms on the flat surface behind him.]

Among other investments.

Other investments?

[Can he help his curiosity? Not really, not any more than he can help watching Isaak, and maybe now his gaze is more than just a little intent.]

Oh, this and that, [He answers idly.] A bit of international trade. Not much of interest. If I'm honest, it's rather a relief to turn my attention to a smaller scale.

International trade. Hmm.

[That really only means one thing where he comes from, and he has the distinct feeling that things can't be so very different in Isaak's time, but it would be rude to downright accuse the guy of being involved in anything shady.]

Doing things on a smaller scale does allow you more time to enjoy yourself.

[More than any shame or fear of stigma, Isaak doesn't talk about what he did at home because it bores him. Drugs and women made him rich, but it's been a long time since the thrill of flaunting the law has had an effect. At home, he'd had one thing to live for.]

And I do,

[he agrees, in a tone warm with amusement.]

Should I ask how you enjoy yourself, or should I guess?

[He can guess, at least to some extent. That doesn't mean he's above flirting, in his own strange way.]

I suspect you could come to an appropriate conclusion.

I suspect I could, but where's the fun in that?

Oh, I think there's quite a lot to be had.

[His voice is low and breathy, and at last he lets his gaze drop-- not to look away, but to look Meyer up and down.]

Are you suggesting something?

[There, finally, is the blush that he's known would show up at some point or another. Still, he doesn't look away, either.]

I thought you already had.

[How terribly incriminating.]

I suppose I did.

[Enough so that he's taking several steps closer to Isaak, at the very least.]

[Pleased, he lifts his chin a bit. Isn't this easier when you cop to it, Meyer?]

Do remind me, what was it you were watching?

[Kinky businessmen, wasn't it? He doesn't really need the reminder. His teasing is gentle, and anything but innocent.]
