I don't see that you have anything to thank me for, [he says casually-- though whether that means basic human decency (ha) doesn't need to be acknowledged, or that Chase missed out on an experience for which he ought to have been deeply grateful, is anybody's guess.] but you're welcome, at any rate, and apology accepted.

Thanks for guessing that attempting to corner people in public parks isn't my usual technique. [Isn't exactly what he meant, but it will do.] A few more curses like that and I'll wind up on some sort of register.

At the very least, if you're not careful you'll be successful, [he says quite gravely. It's teasing, though perhaps not obviously so.]

We complain about curses the way the Brits complain about the weather.

I don't think the place is run by a bunch of great guys with smart ideas. I'm not a fan of most of the curses, particularly the ones that leave me working overtime. But the people - the freedom, I like.

Freedom isn't a word most people would use, describing this place.
